TableDrum iPhone App

This is definitely one of the most creative applications in the Apple AppStore. You can set your custom tabledrum sounds as a trigger for ‘real’ drum sounds in the application. Seems like a gimmick, something to show off to your friends and collegues, but since there’s almost no lag, TableDrum actually becomes very usable. It even notices and how soft/hard you hit your pencil on your table! Awesome.

Nice microproject by Joshua Noble and undef called Receipt Racer. It combines a common receipt printer, a laptop running openframeworks and a Sony Playstation controller into a complete game and was made during the “Let’s feed the future workshop”, organized by creativeapplications.net as a part of the OFFF Festival in Barcelona on June 8th 2011.

Nice project by a friend of a friend: Martin Frey. Cab Boots, with a nice German-English voice-over:

Skittles: Update the Rainbow

You’ve probably seen the Old Spice Responses campaign on YouTube. Well, so did Skittles. Their new campaign called Update the Rainbow is all about reacting to (or: repeating) your updates in a YouTube video.

Although there are some funny examples, this HUGE operation still smells like a bad rip-off to me.

Neigbor Dining

Nice idea by Luong Lu:

Today, more and more people live alone and according to a late study, loneliness is a bigger health threat than alcoholism, obesity and smoking. What if we could fight it with something so simple like eating, and at the same time, save energy?
